Secretly yours by Vikram Khanna – Review

Review of Secretly yours by Vikrant Khanna Author:  Vikram Khanna Price:  Rs. 125/- Pages:  280 Genre:  Romance, Thriller I’ve not read any of Vikram Khanna’s previous books. Secretly Yours, he has a very simple style of writing and has filled his narrative with twists that make for a good potboiler. It is a romantic thriller with supernatural elements, that added the whole thrill of reading the book in a go. The story revolves around the seventeen-year-old boy Sahil who falls in love with a mysterious girl called Anya. The story goes much beyond this and talks about suspicious multiple murders. Every murder happening in Shimla somehow surrounds around Sahil and Anya. They spend time together and Sahil expresses his feelings to Anya. Sahil is heartbroken and in a turn of events, he meets with an accident. It kills his grandmother and lands him in the hospital with a coma. When he recovers he gets the power to read minds. The accident brings him clo...

The Girl of My Dreams – Review

Review: The Girl of My Dreams, by  Durjoy Datta Review of The Girl fo my dreams by Durjoy Datta Author:  Durjoy Datta Price:  Rs. 199 /- Pages:  288 Genre:  Thriller I have first read “If it’s not Forever, then It’s not Love” by Durjoy Datta and loved his books from then on. However, The Girl of my Dreams is a genre change for Durjoy Datta. The book is a Thriller with love and obsession as the central theme. The book is about the Protagonist, Daman who is facing challenges in life after surviving a deadly car accident. His girlfriend, Shreyasi, was with him in the car and he feels that because he was driving that day and he is guilty of her death. Daman meets his new girlfriend, Avni who doesn’t like Daman mentioning Shreyasi, his virtual girlfriend in his writings. Even after Avni’s repeated appeal to him to name her instead of Shreyasi, he keeps using his virtual girlfriend’s name. The plot becomes chaotic when Shreyasi comes back to...

Review: One Indian Girl

Review: One Indian Girl, by  Chetan Bhagat Review of One Indian Girl by Chetan Bhagat Author:  Chetan Bhagat Price:  Rs. 70 Pages:  280 Genre:  Fiction Chetan Bhagat in his One Indian girl writes all about feminism and more about humanism. The plot of One Indian Girl has locations in New York, London and Hong Kong, sex on the beach, a Punjabi wedding. So the story is about an immensely successful woman who has to choose between three brainless but adorable men. One is boring and cricket, Bollywood fan. Second is a Bengali communist who has a penchant for the word “Baby”.  The third is highly desirable but entirely inappropriate old man. Why does a woman who is successful and talented have to choose between these three men is the story. The novel has all the Bollywood type of masala. Chetan Bhagat deserves accolades for the way he used simple characters and developed all the characters independently by giving them a nice attractive...

Review: You are the Best Wife by Ajay K Pandey

You are the Best Wife by Ajay K Pandey Author:  Ajay K Pandey Price:  Rs. 88 Pages:  248 Genre:  Romance, Non-Fiction You are the best wife, is a truly inspiring story of the Author, engages audience really well. The cover pic of the book itself says a lot here, the picture of couple signifies authors life and his memories of his wife, the title tells us the book is about the mood of the book and pen signifies that author wanted to write his life experiences with his wife. The story revolves around Bhavna and Ajay. Bhavna loves living life for others and Ajay is more of selfish kind of person. Bhavna is more spontaneous, doesn’t think about what next and just goes with the flow. On the other hand, Ajay plans meticulously but opposites attract I suppose. They meet, they fall in love, they get married and love between them changes both of them for good. You can never rate a true story like the other ones, but sometimes a true story ca...
